For the past two years, AAS and ACS students have participated in the DeLux Poetry competition, an opportunity for students to demonstrate their creative writing abilities and facilitate cultural exchange across the two schools.
This Tuesday, AAS sent its five finalists to the prize-giving ceremony at ACS, where they had the opportunity to meet students and teachers as well as listen to readings from the winning poetry collections. Congratulations to Adam L. (12) who won first place and Antoni K. (11) who won third place, as well as the other AAS finalists – Yoana Y. (9), Matteo A. (11), and Sanaki M. (12).
Looking forward, students with an interest in creative writing should consider submitting to the upcoming DeLux short story competition in the spring. See Ms Wiebusch for details.
