During Bulgarian Culture Week the AAS campus became even more beautiful when a mural was painted on one of its walls. The mural is a recreation of the painting “Fruit” by the Bulgarian painter Vladimir Dimitrov – the Master, whose 140th birth anniversary is celebrated this year. If you are interested, you can visit two exhibitions dedicated to his work in Sofia and one in Kyustendil. More about his work you can find here.
The creator of the mural, Nikolay Petrov – Glow, talked to our students about graffiti art and they had the opportunity to try it for themselves!
Other activities in ES included making a traditional shevitsa pattern, exploring Bulgarian contemporary art, wrapping an object in cloth like the Bulgarian artist Christo Yavasheff, and an assembly.
