This year, April is the month when the Easter festivities start in Bulgaria.
April 24th marks Lazarovden (St. Lazarus Day), followed by Tsvetnitsa (Palm Sunday) on the 25th (more in the slides). The following week is The Great Week that leads to Easter, which this year falls on May 2nd. You will find out more about the Easter traditions in the May issue of the Bulgarian Culture Corner.
