Grade 1 students went to the botanical gardens on Wednesday.  They saw hundreds of different plants from different ecosystems and learned more about how their adaptations help them to survive.  Students made connections between the structure of different plants and their habitat, posed questions about why things are the way that they are, and discussed the wide variety of species present in the greenhouses. They can’t wait to keep learning about plants and animals!
