We all know the feeling of falling in love with a book, but can you imagine how it feels to receive a reply for your favorite author!?

Felicite (gr.5A), who is a passionate fan of the Harry Potter series, decided to write a letter to J.K. Rowling and was very happy and excited to get a reply via the mail. The fifth grader takes part in the Letter Writing Program lead by our librarian Ms. Smith, which allows students to use their Library time to write to someone they admire. Students are encouraged to ask their favorite authors, artists, athletes, YouTubers any questions they may have or share their appreciation for the individual’s work or videos or books. 

The AAS Library and students have received replies from Judy Blume, Jeff Kinney, Dav Pilkey, Karen Rivers, Jelly, J.K. Rowling, and more. Student letters are sent via email or in the mail and responses are received the same way – by email or through the mail.
