Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) – Grade 5 (ages 4 to 11)
The Elementary School at AAS has the feel of a small community school, where everyone knows everyone and the needs of the whole child are met.
Alongside this important close-knit feel, children benefit from the large range of facilities and activities that a large campus like AAS has to offer. There are many opportunities for younger children to interact with and learn not just from each other but from their older peers, helping them develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
Grades 6, 7 & 8
The “middle years” are a journey of significant emotional, social, physical and intellectual growth.
This journey is truly exciting – it’s complex, fun, frustrating, enriching and wondrous, and follows many different paths. At the Anglo-American School, we see this journey as a time to further develop academic and personal skills as well as a time of discovery.
High School at AAS is characterized by a rigorous academic program of studies combined with numerous activities and pursuits beyond the classroom. Students of all abilities are encouraged to aim high and to realise their full potential.
During High School years at AAS, students develop the skills, knowledge and values they need to find solutions, innovate and communicate in a world they are building and shaping. They are consistently supported in their endeavors and receive many opportunities to demonstrate leadership and mutual respect for their peers.
Grades 11 & 12
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program
(IB DP) is an educational program for students in their last two years of secondary school.
It is both academically challenging and balanced, seeking to prepare students for success at university and beyond.
The Anglo-American School of Sofia offers a fully recognised US High School Diploma, as AAS is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
