Organization – (PTO)
Our parents benefit from our strong and highly active Parent Teacher Oganisation (PTO) which provides support and a social network for our international families. Activities specifically focussed on our parents have included; wine tastings, quiz nights, galas,
English speaking enhancement groups, hiking clubs, boot camp, choir, yoga, adult sports competitions and use of the sports facilities out of school hours.
All parents and guardians whose children attend AAS are automatically members of the AAS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) along with teachers and other members of staff.
The AAS PTO is an active, diverse, all-volunteer organisation that supports community life through volunteer work and fundraising for the school. The PTO serves all sections of the school: elementary school, middle
school, and high school.
The Goals of the AAS PTO are to:
- Develop positive communication between the school and the whole AAS community;
- Reinforce the AAS mission statement and core values;
- Support all AAS students, faculty, staff, families, and newcomers;
- Raise funds for the benefit of all AAS students.

If you are looking for a fun way to meet people, be well informed about your child’s education, and enhance your family’s experience in Sofia, volunteer for the AAS PTO. It is easy to get involved; just send an email to pto@aas-sofia.org and ask for more information.
You are always welcome to come to the PTO office which is located inside the library. Alternatively, you can come to any of our meetings (announced in the weekly AAS newsletter) or contact one of the current members for more information.
