Secondary School Students Creating a Legacy Of Good Times

My American colleagues have been explaining their ‘Thanksgiving’ holiday traditions to me. I think everyone can agree that taking a pause to reflect and be thankful for all the good things in our lives is a healthy practice. With this in mind, I have spent the last day or two asking our Secondary School students which moments from the first third of their school year have meant the most to them. Here – in their own words – is what some of them said…

  • Having my work displayed

  • Mr. Burnett arriving at my classroom to tell me that I am ‘Wolf of the Month’

  • I love the the view from the football field to the mountain (the green of the pitch to the white of the peaks)

  • Choreographing and performing the school’s first cheerleading routine at the CEESA boys football

  • We ran into the Black Sea together [on our Cultural Trip] – it was really, really cold!

  • When we watched the Elementary kids Halloween parade – they were so cute!

  • I like laughing with friends in the café at break

  • I got to hold my home country’s flag at the opening ceremony this year

  • I’m thankful for the Angelia run and the money we raised

  • Chillin’ in the library

  • This trimester I learned to play the oboe

  • I liked putting up winter holiday decorations (and drinking hot chocolate!)

  • I get to to play football with friends

  • I built and programmed my own robot. With sensors.

Have a fun and safe few days rest, Wolves. We are excited to make more memories with you across the next two trimesters!

Mr. Bannister (MS/HS Dean of Students)
