    As a result of the school expansion, we are looking for:

    TEACHER – ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

    PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Five years or more of successful teaching experience;
    • Minimum of bachelor’s degree, complemented by requisite certification and training;
    • IB Experience – advantage;
    • Proficiency in Standards-Based Grading;
    • Proficiency in planning units;
    • Ability to work within a team environment;;
    • Desire to work with students aged 12 – 18;
    • Commitment to a positive school culture and student involvement;
    • Experience in an international setting desired;
    • Demonstrated success in the attributes, duties and behaviours outlined in the overview below;
    • Excellent knowledge of international curriculum standarts;
    • Fluency in BOTH English and Bulgarian languages and excellent subject knowledge;
    • Ability to relay knowledge to students who do not know English;
    • Enthusiasm and passion for Languages and the ability to convey this to students.

    • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of content area and recent developments in the subject area;
    • Understands the strategies needed for different learning styles and collaboration in the classroom;
    • Integrates technology in the curriculum to complement, extend and enhance learning.

    • Maintains learning outcomes which are clear to teacher and students;
    • Demonstrates a variety of assessment procedures;
    • Uses formative, summative and diagnostic assessments;
    • Transfers assessment data into meaningful and differentiated instruction;
    • Ensures that student work shows progress toward agreed-upon goals;
    • Evaluates and returns student work promptly;
    • Provides constructive reports to students and parents.
